The Classic model is one of the easiest to ride performance SUP boards on the market.
Matt designed this board for one of the best longboarders in the world, Pat Fukuda. Pat came to me because he could not find an SUP board that would allow him to surf with his normal classic, graceful and beautiful style.
Pat also wanted the performance and noseriding ability of his favoritelongboard because somewhere along the SUP journey, shapers forgot that we are surfers first and style is still the soul of surfing.
We designed a board that could turn amazing off the tail, give you smooth, long and graceful turns when surfed from the mid section or would give you effortlessnoserides.
This is a SUP board that will bring out the unique style in your surfing, the kind of surfing that shows experience and the kind of surfing that is lacking in the lineup.
Most of my customers that are excellent longboard surfers choose the Pat Fukuda model.
Classic is available also in the point nose version.
The FUGU model is a scaled up copy of my FUGU fish shortboard and is designed for ultra high performance small wave riding. The Fugu is designed to be ridden 10″ shorter than your normal SUP board. To make up for the loss in volume I usually go 1/2″ + thicker. The shorter rockerline and lighter swing weight really increase the responsiveness and fits so well into tight faced waves. I have it setup for the 5 fin option but usually ride it as a tri fi because I love the carve of a thruster finned board. When setup as a quad, the Fugu transforms into a ultra tight turning speed demon that surfs amazing off the tail. Most riders love the increased nose rocker in the shorter package because it doesn’t stick or pearl like most longer, flatter sup boards do.
Medium to low volume, pure surfing performance in a very short and well balanced package.
Best beach break board on the market.
The Milkman SUP sets the standard for high performance sup boards and no other board on the market can match the technical detail of this ultra refined design.
From Kazuma's trademark “Triple Barrel” concave to the pure short board rails, rocker and foil blends, the Milkman SUP is the go to board for advanced to professional riders.
Like all the Kazuma SUP models, the designs and performance characteristics follow the popular Kazuma short board models.
The Milkman name can only mean one thing, absolute top level, professional performance and the Milkman SUP lives up to
The Kazuma Race board was built to win. To be fast, you can't make mistakes and boards that are difficult to ride end up being the slow. The kazuma 12'6″ and big brother 14'0″ are the product of years of board development in the worlds best Race board test environment. Maui, Hawaii. Starting with Kazuma's award winning Maliko downwinder board, the board that is known to be ultra stable in the roughest conditions, Matt fine tuned the rocker for the less extreme conditions that you find almost anywhere else in the world. Kazuma then fine tuned the outline with a special curve that allows the water to smoothly flow around the entry and exit with practically no drag and much less rail to rail roll. The double concave bottom has the stability of boards much wider and gives you that extra needed directional stability with more of your paddling translating into forward projection. The Kazuma double concave bottom also tracks so straight that you need much less alternating paddle strokes to keep you going straight which will ultimately let you win races.
Kazuma is known throughout the surfing and SUP world as a master shaper with some of the most refined board designs anywhere in the world. This perfecting standard can only be reproduced on way, CNC machine the EPS foam core with a hand laminated full carbon lamination. No molded or production board can achieve the detail and levels of accuracy that a hand laminated board has and the strength to weight ratio of the exotic carbon is always perfect. All Kazuma Race boards are built this way so that you can have the best board that money can buy.
The Shibi SUP is one of the most versatile stand up boards on the market. The Shibi is a scaled up version of the ultra popular Kazuma Shibi fish shortboard.
The Shibi SUP has that same distinctive outline of the Shibi shortboard which alows for a wider and longer board to feel like a much smaller board.
The unique Shibi bottom features a defined deep vee-double concave tail feeding the radical quad fin setup for amazing speed, response and tight turning ability.
Many of my heavy weight riders like Alika Moepono ride the Shibi SUP and love that they can get a small board feel in a high volume board
The Tanto project that I have been working on with my son Chaz has been one of the most exciting design projects of my shaping career. Typical surfboard shapes and designs have specific limitations in rocker, thickness combinations and flow that determine the “standard” look that you typically see. The usual surfboard design process starts with the outline, then rocker, then foil, then rails which creates specific limitations. On the Tanto, I was able to design the most important part first, the rocker/rail flow which is 75 percent of your performance. Without the limitation of a “standard” outline, I am able to get the best of both worlds, ultra high efficiency with a lower volume ride and feel. The Tanto has a very high rocker on the rail line combined with an aggressive, quick changing rail thickness flow and shape that gives you the performance of boards 15 to 20 Liters smaller. After the performance was designed in, I could easily design back the stability and paddle power needed with this “anything possible” outline. The wide tail and nose blocks gives you incredible stability and paddle power and will easily feel like a board 10 to 20 L larger. More than just the Tanto's unique looks, the way Kazuma's “thinking out of the box” design features interact are what makes this board something special. Function over looks for a board that changes the way we ride waves.
